I am committed to advancing studies of Armenian language, literature, and culture. My scholarly productions include literary analyses of a trilogy on the Armenian genocide as well as translations of Western Armenian-language materials for English-speaking researchers.
I am currently piloting an online open educational resource textbook I collaboratively developed for Western Armenian, funded by a grant from Michigan State University’s Center for Language Teaching Advancement. In 2024, I won the National LCTL Resource Center’s Less Commonly Taught Languages Innovation Award for “outstanding, innovative, and transformative uses of technology in the teaching of Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTLs).”
I have taught courses in Western Armenian language, Armenian culture, and academic writing at Harvard, Harvard Extension, and the University of Texas at Austin. My personal and professional history has made me a devoted translator, scholar, and promoter of the Armenian language.
