I am committed to advancing studies of Armenian language, literature, and culture. My scholarly productions include literary analyses of a trilogy on the Armenian genocide as well as translations of Western Armenian-language materials for English-speaking researchers.
I am currently developing an open educational resource textbook for Western Armenian, funded by a grant from Michigan State University’s Center for Language Teaching Advancement. In 2024, I won the National LCTL Resource Center’s Less Commonly Taught Languages Innovation Award for “outstanding, innovative, and transformative uses of technology in the teaching of Less Commonly Taught Languages (LCTLs).”
I have taught courses in Western Armenian language and Armenian culture at Harvard, Harvard Extension, and the University of Texas at Austin. My personal and professional history has made me a devoted translator, scholar, and promoter of the Armenian language.
