I’m an award-winning educator with over 15 years of experience in instructional design, technology-enhanced teaching, and collaborative projects. I enjoy finding ways to use technology to improve the teaching and learning environments of the educational institutions that I have served.

Below, you can view the educational products that I have created for my own classrooms or presentations to general audiences.

With a colleague at Columbia University, I coded an online open educational resource using a static site generator on a tight timeline and strict budget after testing over 30 educational technology platforms and tools. To develop our online textbook currently in the pilot phase, we used backwards design and adhered to best practices for creating audiovisual materials in online or blended teaching environments. In this example from the third unit, you can see how I structured learning goals, lessons, vocabulary lists, grammatical explanations, and review exercises for adult language learners.

For our textbook, I created many visual representations of grammatical or vocabulary concepts. This graphic about feelings—made using Adobe Express—uses icons and colors to explain relationships between words.

This video shows my approach to making learning interactive—instead of passively consuming information, learners use their logical abilities to solve problems.

I have also made engaging informational websites for adult audiences. I break up large amounts of text into digestible and accessible sections. For this website made with a static site generator, I used visual materials with generous Creative Commons licenses.

I transform the same information for different formats. Here is the PDF report—made using Adobe Express—of the informational website I created above. In this version, I made sure that the content was visually appealing, legible, and navigable.

I have presented about difficult and complex ideas using simple PowerPoint slides. In this video, you can see how I translate research into understandable terms for a general adult audience.
